2017 trend report from NKBA

As an NKBA designer National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA)-I love to read this annual report to compare what’s “hot” with what I am designing and also seeing in my local Boulder/Denver Market. NKBA Rocky Mountain Chapter. Indeed, “tuxedo” color palettes in the kitchen are on the rise, think navy or dark charcoal island or all base cabinets and white or light gray wall cabinets. Granite is out, (duh) and quartz is in. speciality finishes for lighting, faucet and cabinet hardware are gaining popularity: Rose Gold, brushed brass and black. Boulder, CO Bathroom trends are equally in sync. “Spa like”-features including steam showers and free standing soaking tubs are combined with soothing materials that are more modern, floating vanities, large porcelain tile floors, glass accents, music and layers of lighting….
